Embodied Yoga & Creative Writing Workshop
Yoga and Writing Workshop in Basel, Switzerland
Step into a journey woven with the essence of the four elements, in harmony and awkward grace with the natural rhythm of the seasons.
From spring’s energy of growth, to summer’s fire of transformation, autumn’s call to release, and winter’s deep stillness, each workshop offers a space to ground, move, and express in a safe space and in community. Rooted in embodied yoga and reflective writing, this is an invitation to return to your center, let your thoughts flow onto paper, and reconnect with your creative voice, season by season.
Seasonal cycle 2025:
Spring: Wood, Growth, 23.03.25
Summer: Fire, Transformation, 22.06.25
Autumn: Metal, Letting Go, 14.09.25
Winter: Water, Stillness, 21.12.25
Time: 11:00 - 14:00
The most beautiful ideas grow from deep roots, ignited by your inner fire, shaped by the wisdom to let go, and nurtured in the stillness of rest.
Root into your body.
Soften into stillness.
Let the words find you.
This is a space to build the foundation for what wants to emerge.
Through embodied movement and conscious writing, you’ll tune into the rhythm beneath the noise, where movement becomes meditation, and your pen becomes a pathway.
Creative flow begins in the body.
Your story starts here.
We use various yoga methods and creative writing practices, because putting words on paper and anchoring them in the body creates a world where anything is possible.
The aim is to be curious and playful with language and movement. We will explore new perspectives and tune into desire, intuition, and imagination.
An open and receptive body supports this process. We'll practice grounding and harmonizing yoga sequences in between writing explorations.
Energy begins to flow and existing blockages in the body or mind are dissolved. Insights, reflections and ideas pour out onto the page with ease.
Embodied yoga, meditation, and creative writing come together to guide you into a state of flow and deep self-expression.
Perfect for:
Yogis, writers, creatives, and anyone looking to reconnect with their inner voice.

What to expect
„the mind is like the wind and the body is like the sand: if you want to know how the wind is blowing, you can look at the sand.“
bonnie bainbridge cohen
yoga is an invitation to come back to your authentic self, again and again.
each session is a chance to navigate the path to your inner being and to allow your mind, body and consciousness to reconnect with awareness of self on a cellular level, with your breath, movement, and present thought. we flow into asanas, move, sing mantra’s, play, dance into free flow and meditate all the while learning and releasing in a safe container.
the relationship with you is the one you will be spending the most time with throughout your life. you can train your thoughts to consciously celebrate your unique self, the sweetheart, one of a kind person you are, enhance your inner dialogue with you and the connection to you with these unique classes. hold space for you in all phases of your life, the sunny and the shadow sides, meet yourself again and again, the layers and flavors of you blossom. come dive deeper into your essence and shake the dust with me in a yoga class.
these yoga classes are curated to release tension, to strengthen your focus and state of thought in connection to your body-mind. we will let your curious self be playful and true to its nature, sequence with elements of embodied flow, vinyasa/hata and kundalini yoga, slow or fast, kindly, gently and authentically you unfold you.
„daughter. spend your life loving. not seeking love. ocean need not seek water.“

Who I am
My childhood was spent between America’s East Coast, Switzerland, and Portugal.
When I was 18 I moved to Basel permanently to study art and it was here I attended my first professional kundalini yoga class.
While practicing on and off for over ten years with my first teacher I started substituting for her, leading her classes when needed.
At that time I also began offering private yoga sessions to my closest friends, family, and artist groups.
My love of yoga began back in my late teens and has never left me, giving me strength, serenity, clarity, and lightness throughout my life.
I am a mother of a bright, handsome son. When I’m not on the yoga mat I head the reception and bookshop of Kunsthalle Basel and give tours to current exhibitions in German and English.
Parallel to yoga and meditation, my love of the outdoors, walking in nature, baking and cooking, dogs, drawing, reading, dancing, and journaling are all pillars of my everyday life.
I am forever grateful to my mother and father who taught me at a young age to follow my intuition and to hold yoga poses that grew out of play. I did my 200 hour Embodied Flow Yoga Teachers Training, in Noa Yoga Basel with Salome Noa and Andy Bartneck, 500 hours advanced Embodied Flow Yoga Teachers Training in Ubud Bali with Tara Judelle, including 100 hours Trauma Informed Yoga with Mei Lai Swan, and 50 hours Somatic Yin Teachers Training with Carlos Romero. I have over 20 years of Kundalini Yoga teaching experience, and finished an eight week MBSR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course in the Zentrum für Achtsamkeit with Rudi Burger. I work as a simultaneous interpreter german/english, english/german and embodied yoga facilitator with Regula Saner in different MBC (Mindful Based Compassion) retreats and workshops. I am in training for my yoga-fasting-hiking certificate with Franz Moesl in Germany.
I see Yoga as a way of life, both on and off the mat. My desire is to continue to learn and grow with you.
